It is that time of year....crisp air, fall colors, apple and pumpkin picking to be done. Just a little fall cupcake bouquet to add to the season!

Football Cupcakes

Football cupcakes for 40th birthday. I wanted to do a Notre Dame theme, but the fondant and I were not agreeing on things. Next time I will do things a bit differently. But they came out ok - trial and error I guess!

Cupcake Bouquet

Well I finally did it! After much research and a bit of my own creativity - my very first successful cupcake bouquet. I am pretty pleased considering the first attempt was a huge disaster. Oh well, the only way to learn is through making mistakes. I kinda don't want to eat it. :)

This was a request by a co-worker. Although I have made this carrot cake many times - this is my first attempt at actually decorating it as a birthday cake.

With Jess's help this was a first for us. It came out so cute! Although we had enough fondant left over to do 100 cakes! And thankfully I now think we have the fondant thing mastered......I even made my own for the first time and it didn't taste like glue!

Flowers Flowers and More Flowers

Bouquets that I made along with my cousins help for Jessica's wedding.

Easy and fun DIY project. Craft letters bought at your local craft store and shhh....dollar store flowers that I pulled the stems off of and hot glued on. We hung these on the church doors.

More bouquet pics!

I just love this......saw it somewhere along the line when I was doing my own wedding planning and couldn't wait to try it myself. Simple ribbon and pins.

I wanted to make the brides bouquet extra glam so I added the pearl tip pins to the center of each rose and a charm on some too. Just a little detail that goes a long way.

Jessica made all the favors. Chocolate dipped pretzels adorning the bride and grooms initials. I created the tags and printed them at home on card stock. A simple DIY project. Cut, hole punch, tie ribbon and viola.....favors!! They were sooo yummy too!

Centerpieces, centerpieces, centerpieces...oh my. This was a bit overwhelming, but I was really pleased with the final outcome. We made 15 in total. The base was made out of corrugated tubing wrapped in fabric and adorned with a wire ribbon. We filled them with modeling sand for weight and bookended them with plastic planter bottoms, which were hot glued on. Cut floral foam and filled with fresh flowers and there you go. Average cost - $20 per centerpiece! Average savings...thousands!
